Saustift = colloquial: synonym for trainee

Since our winery was honoured as "Training Company of the Year" at national level in summer 2014, our trainees have been proudly creating their first work in their apprenticeship year.
Our aim is to develop the potential of the Saustifte. This flair and skill is also required when "making wine". The many individual work steps through to the final finishing touches are an instructive and motivating challenge for our apprentices. Commitment and a love of experimentation included. The Saustift embodies youthful fruit with a lively freshness and carries the magic of the new.
SAUSTIFT
SPARKLING WINE: SEKT & SECCO
Only selected base wines are refined into sparkling wine. These base wines are bottled in original 980g Champagne bottles and fermented for more than 9 months to sparkling wine. In the next step each individual bottle is shaken, iced and degorgated - an exciting procedure The result is a sparkling wine that remains in the original bottle. The high quality of the sparkling wine is witnessed by the fine-beaded mousseux (sparkling beads) and can be both smelled and tasted.
