SUSTAINABILITY

There is truth in wine and truth is wherever glasses are clinked.

FRIEDRICH HEGEL

SUSTAINABILTY IS MORE THAN JUST A TRENDY TERM FOR US

To shape the future and to assume responsibility – that is our mission as human beings, as entrepreneurs and as Christians. For these reasons we act in a sustainable manner by conviction and for the future of our children.

Our commitment is manifest in the areas of ecology, economy and in the social sectors. Reason is the measure of all things determining our actions. Ecology and social commitment have to be viewed and planned with a long-term perspective; at the same time they have to be economically viable so as not to be achieved at the expense of our employees and their families. Sustainable action therefore means for us to always be looking for solutions that enable us to reconcile these aspects with each other.

The lived respect for humans and nature is part of our DNA and has shaped our family for generations. For more than 200 years we have striven to protect nature, conserve resources, and promote fellow human beings, while consistently continuing to develop the quality and diversity of our wines.
